Rochers-de-Naye 2030
05/2025 · Suisse, Rochers-de-Naye
As part of the modernisation of the Montreux–Rochers-de-Naye line, the MVR Company (Montreux–Vevey–Riviera) has commissioned RDR Architects to design the future summit station and refurbish the tourist information centre. Situated at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, this new infrastructure aims to cater for rising visitor numbers whilst improving accessibility, comfort and the quality of the visitor experience.
The project, developed in partnership with the engineering firm Monod Piguet, involves the renovation and extension of the existing building. It forms part of a commitment to enhance this iconic site in the Vaud Alps, combining technical performance, the visitor experience and integration into the alpine landscape.
Designing and building at this altitude presents a stimulating logistical and technical challenge that the RDR team is looking forward to tackling.
